Khalil Habrih

Khalil Habrih is a doctoral candidate at the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies at the University of Ottawa. He is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris and of the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences. His research pertains to processes of political socialization of stigmatized groups as well as the formation of spaces of socioracial marginalization. More specifically, he studies the criminalization of immigration, police presence and practices of control, as well as discriminatory practices in institutional settings (schools, hospitals, prisons). His research is mainly focused on the context of French urban centers, his main methodology being ethnography.
