Thamara Labossière

Thamara is a PhD candidate at the School of Social Work at the University of Ottawa. Her research interests are in international development, NGOs and childhood. As part of her doctoral dissertation, she studies the relationships of domination that are reproduced by Northern NGO's in their projectof development focused on childhood in Haiti, through postcolonial glasses, under the direction of Sonia Ben Soltane and from Marc Molgat. Thamara worked on themes related to community development, such as the analysis of social needs in Haiti and the social participation of young people of Haitian descent in Canada.
