Mylène Coderre-Proulx

Mylène is a PhD candidate at the School of International Development and Global Studies (SIDGS) at the University of Ottawa. Her research interests focus on temporary and irregular migration and the role of non-state actors in shaping migratory experiences. Her doctoral thesis explores the migration industry involved in the recruitment of Guatemalan agricultural workers in Canada and its impact on their migratory pathways. Mylene has worked on various themes related to labour migration, including the International Mobility Program (IMP) in Canada, migrant workers in the mining sector and migration policies in Sénégal. She is currently the research coordinator for the project “Pathways into and out of irregularity for temporary foreign workers in Canada: a cross-jurisdictional analysis”, under the direction of Dr. Delphine Nakache.
